BIO

Alena Ivochkina (born 1980) is a visual artist from Chelyabinsk, Russia. In her practice, she works with self-portraiture and metaphor to explore everyday life and inner experience. Ordinary objects and situations take on new meanings in her work, reflecting inner states and experiences.

Her artistic thinking is influenced by Post-Impressionism, Minimalism, and Surrealism. By combining the unexpected with elements of everyday life, she creates visual situations that exist on the boundary between reality and imagination.
