It’s all in the hat
When one day is like another, and nothing seems to change, I really want a fairy tale. My series of self-portraits, “It’s all in the hat “, taken at home using random objects, shows that you can see something special in ordinary activities.
One day, being lost in thought, I tried to pour water into my mug but I spilled it. This is how the picture of self-portrait in the hat with cups and a teapot appeared.
During my sports activities, I always want sweets. That’s why I came up with the idea of a hat with a cake and sweets.
One day, I had to work overtime. I couldn’t finish the project. There was a huge stack of papers on my desk. Then I decided that it would be a good idea to make a hat out of these sheets of paper. I asked my friend for an old typewriter and placed it on the top of the sheets. The new hat is a symbol of endless work.
A hat with clothes on my head and scissors appeared when I was looking for clothes in the wardrobe. I took a lot of things out of it, but I didn’t like any of them. Then I made a hat out of clothes as a symbol of excessive consumption.
The spring mood is reflected in the flower hat.
The hat with pillows and my cat symbolize that it’s time to go to bed. Usually in the evening my cat lies down on my pillow and calls me to go to bed. So I made my hat out of pillows. In fact, the cat didn’t want to be photographed. After taking this photo, I treated my cat to her favorite food.
The next picture from the series is a tribute to the painting by P. Picasso, where the main character is immersed in herself. In my new hat, I wanted to convey the mood of melancholy, fatigue and apathy that sometimes happen to me.
The idea of a Christmas hat came to my mind when I was preparing presents for the holiday.
A hat with a cake and a glass in my hands is my birthday present for me. Birthday is a sad holiday for me because I’m getting older. For this picture, I generated a cake using AI.
